TO BECOME
GODS OURSELVES
Adult hard science fiction grounded in astrophysics and engineering, about what humanity chooses to preserve when survival itself becomes an engineering problem.
The premise
A threat that cannot be fought on human timescales.
When an anomalous gravitational signal reveals evidence of an engineered relativistic strike already crossing interstellar space, humanity faces a problem with no conventional military solution: how to preserve civilization across the destruction of its home world.
The answer becomes an immense systems problem spanning astrophysics, underground survival, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, space engineering, and the more difficult question beneath all of them: what must remain continuous for humanity to still be humanity?
Narrative architecture
Hard constraints. Human consequences.
Relativistic travel, observational inference, energy budgets, and deep-time causality.
Infrastructure designed not to save a city or nation, but to preserve a civilization.
The technological and philosophical boundary between preservation and replacement.
Decisions whose moral consequences extend beyond the lifetimes of those who make them.

The Spanish-language novel published in Spain in 2025 served as the foundation for this manuscript, but To Become Gods Ourselves is not a direct translation. The English-language work has been extensively restructured and rewritten into a substantially different novel.
Its architecture, pacing, and prose were rebuilt for the English-language manuscript, with new chapters and material that do not exist in the published Spanish version. It has its own title, editorial identity, submission package, and international rights campaign.
It belongs to The Quantum Weave Archives, a shared universe built around independent novels. Connections reward returning readers but are never required to understand an individual book.
Agents, editors, publishers, and rights professionals may request submission material through the dedicated contact page. The author retains all English-language rights and all publishing rights in languages other than Spanish.
